Ever-popular street artist Banksy has shared a new lockdown-inspired and themed artwork that is a bit different than his previous ones, including the one he made in quarantine with rats invading his bathroom.
This one is dedicated to the National Health Service workers and it is titled Game Changer. It is essentially an illustration of a boy playing with superhero dolls. Among the mighty Spiderman and Batman toys, there’s also one of a nurse in a superhero cape, which the boy is holding.
More detailed than his previous works, and different in not sharing a political statement, the artwork is nonetheless incredibly important to the NHS staff and all those in the frontlines battling the pandemic. Game Changer is currently placed in Southampton General Hospital, with a note left by Banksy reading: “Thanks for all you’re doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if it’s only black and white.” Check it out below.
